UK. The Queen authorizes Johnson's request to close English Parliament
Protests across the Country and a petition exceeds 1,300,000 signatures
The Queen Elizabeth II of England authorized the suspension of the Chambers, with the closure of the Parliament for 5 weeks, as requested by the new British Premier Boris Johnson (see AVIONEWS). In this way the Prime Minister has almost completely frozen opponents of the "No Deal" (the "Brexit" without agreement) and it will allow him to deal with the European Union without interference.
The decision is envisaged by the English Constitution, but it is considered a "threat to democracy" to the point that demonstrations and protests have begun throughout the country. An on-line petition, which calls for Parliament not to be dissolved, is growing out and it has reached more than 1,300,000 signatures today, on August 29.
