The aircraft landed in London as a precaution

A bomb threat forced Air India's AI 191 flight from Mumbai to Newark to made an emergency landing at London-Stansted airport. The alarm went off around 9:45am today. The airplane was escorted by a Royal Air Force Thyphoon fighter as foreseen in these cases by the procedure.
