Moscow uphold Tehran on the US drone shooting down

The aircraft would have violated Iranian airspace

During a summit held in Jerusalem between Russian Security Council secretary Nikolai Patrushev, US national security adviser John Bolton and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Patrushev said the Russian Army has information that would confirm indications provided from Iran on the position of the US military drone plane shot down on 20 June. It was reported from "Sputnik" agency, linked to the Moscow government.

Despite repeated warnings the aircraft would have violated Iranian airspace, working for a clear spy operation according to Tehran. United States replies that the RQ-4 Global Hawk drone was flying in international airspace over the Strait of Hormuz.

Military of Moscow would therefore be able to grant what Iran in saying is true, Tehran addressed a letter to the UN Security Council where provided the alleged coordinates at the time of shooting down. Iranian army also located a US Air Force Poseidon P-8 military plane with 35 people on board, but did not bring it down to avoid casualties. Likewise, Donald Trump has chosen to stop a counterattack against Iranian missile depots, declaring the loss of human lives disproportionate to the shooting down of an unmanned vehicle.
