AirTran to report losses in 2005 Q1

Atlanta, Usa - The airline posted a USD 8m losses in the first three months of the current year

Atlanta-based low-cost airline AirTran Airways announced it reported a first-quarter net loss of USD 8m, compared with a net profit of USD 4.1m a year earlier. The airline said that though operating revenue increased 24.2 percent to USD 300m, high fuel cost and rival competition lead to the negative result related to the first three months of the current year.
