China Southern Airlines to post a surprise red
Beijing, China - The carrier reported a net loss of USD 38m in the second part of 2004

China Southern Airlines announced a surprise losses of USD 38m for the six months to December 31, 2004, by becoming the only major Chinese airline to fall into the red last year. Though revenue grew more than 37 percent in the period, fuel prices rose substantially by damaging the final result. Always according to Liu Shao Yong 2005 would be "A year of challenge" as the airline faces tougher competition...
