HONDURAS AIRPORT CLOSED FOR FOREST FIRES
TEGUCIGALPA, The capital's international airport was closed yesterday due to clouds of smoke in the air caused by forest fires. Osman Miguel Ortiz, spokesman for the Civil Aeronautical Office, cleared that the smoke reduced visibility to less than 2 miles and the minimum visibility required in that airport is 2,5 km. Flights were diverted on second-largest airport in San Pedro Sula.
