Airplanes and Etna volcano: airspace and Catania airport reopened

Catania, Italy - The normal activities of runway of the airport restarted at 8:30am

SAC (Catania's airport management company), regarding the activity of the Etna volcano, informs that after the communication by Volcanology Institute about the end of the volcanic ash emission in the atmosphere (5:10am), the task-force decided to reopen the airspace above the Sicilian city. The normal activity of the Fontanarossa airport started again from 8:30am.
