The Russian authorities started the investigations to ascertain the causes of the crash which, in the evening of Sunday 17 November 2013, involved a Boeing 737/500 of Tatarstan Airlines (registration code VQ-BBN), causing the death of the 50 persons who were on board (44 passengers and 6 crew members).
