Brussels, Belgium - EU Finance Ministers to talk about it today
The tax on jet-fuel to finance develop programmes destined to poor countries, had been introduced by the German Finance Minister, Hans Eichel, during the G7 meeting occurred at beginning of this month (see for details AVIONEWS). EU Transport Commissioner, Jacques Barrot, showed his scepticism over this matter: "I have serious reservations about the introduction of a kerosene tax on airlines", he said....
