Turkish Airlines launches its services by airplane to Mogadishu (Somalia)

Ankara, Turkey - Operated with B-737/800 airplane

The first flight to Mogadishu, Somalia and the first service to the Somali capital by any European airline, departed on March 5, 2012. The new service, operating via Khartoum, departed outbound on Tuesdays and Thursdays from its Istanbul hub, "Atatürk Airport" and return on Wednesdays and Fridays.
