Lauda sells Niki to Air Berlin
Vienna, Austria - But remains in the Board of the company
Former Formula 1 champion Niki Lauda, together with the President of the German carrier Air Berlin, Hartmut Mehdorn, has announced the sale of 50.1% of shares of his low-cost airline Niki Luftfahrt to Mehdron. In 2004, Air Berlin, second biggest German carrier after Lufthansa, had already bought 24% stake in the Austrian company increasing it to 49.9% in 2010. It acquired full ownership yesterday....
