Brussels, Belgium - Allowances would total 212.9 million tonnes of CO2

The European Commission said today that aviation emissions allowances would total 212.9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide in 2012 under the provisions of its emissions trading scheme (ETS). The Commission said in a statement that from 2013 onwards it would set a total of 208.5 million tonnes.
