SINGAPORE AIRLINES LENDS BOEING 747 TO ANSETT

HONG KONG, A Singapore Airlines spokesman said the company is lending a Boeing 747-400 with technical and crew cabin to australian Ansett. Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority grounded 10 Ansett planes last week due to safety concerns. Singapore Airlines holds a 25% stake in Ansett parent Air New Zealand.
