MALEV CUTS ITS WORKFORCE BY A QUARTER

HUNGARY, Hungarian national airline lost in 2000 35 USDm (about EUR 35m) and would like to start a denationalization process by 2003. To make itself attractive to possible investors, it will cut 1000 jobs and will reduce its overseas routes. In the mean time and in partnership with other airlines, it aims to develop its regional services.
