NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory was launched yesterday on board of an Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. The mission of this satellite is to evaluate the complex mechanisms of the Sun. Liftoff came on-time at 10:23 am EST.
