Shannon, Ireland - The route to New York will be closed
The Irish airline, Aer Lingus, announced yesterday its intention to close the direct link Shannon-New York already in early 2010. This would result in the closure of the carrier's transatlantic services at Shannon airport, with the loss of 102 jobs.
