Alitalia towards the merger with AirOne

Rome, Italy - Discussions on redundancies already underway

The new Alitalia prepares to the merger with AirOne, and the redundancies' problem will have to be discussed. "Reuters" press agency quoted two unnamed sources on the matter. One, close to the Unions, speaks of about 800 surplus units after the merger; the other speaks of one hundred redundancies among Chieti administrative and AirOne's call-center personnel, without counting the maintenance operators....
