EU establishes new rules for the air transport

Brussels, Belgium - Shorter flights, reducing fuel consumption as well as emissions

The European Union reached an agreement on new rules to shorten plane flights, reducing fuel consumption as well as emissions and streamline aviation regulation in Europe. Ambassadors of the 27 E.U. countries agreed with European Parliament representatives on the new measures, which will now have to be formally approved by the whole Parliament assembly and by national ministers.
