Houston, USA - A loss of 1.3 billion dollars in the fourth quarter

Black period for UAL. After having disclosed the loss of 1.3 billion in the fourth quarter of 2008 (see AVIONEWS for more details), against a loss of 98 million in the same period of 2007, the company decided other 1,000 cuts by the end of 2009, after the 1,500 already announced in 2008.
