FLIGHT SIMULATOR FOR BRITISH AIRWAYS/COMAIR

CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA, British Airways/Comair spent R 20m (about 2 million euro) for the purchase of a flight simulator that would train pilots for Boeing 737 flight. The simulator could operate for 20 hours a day, running 5 sessions of 4 hours each. The vector managing director Piet Van Hoven considered that training the pilots "on ground" would have been practical and economic.
