BRITISH REGIONAL AIR LINES RAISES PROFITS

UK, British Regional Air Lines reported a pre-tax profit of GBP£10.2 million for the year 2000, with a 30% increase compared with an year earlier. Turnover grew by 15.4%. The airline is being taken over by British Airways in a GBP£78 million deal.
