K2 tragedy: Italian mountaineer Confortola saved
Rome, Italy - Rescued by a Pakistani Army helicopter
Marco Confortola, the Italian climber, believed to be sole survivor of an avalanche on K2, has been rescued this morning by a Pakistani Army helicopter which has taken him from base camp (5200 metres high).
