Special "Le Bourget" (3): Embraer sells 40 regional jets

Paris, France - JAL and Lufthansa the interested carriers

EMBRAER, the Brazilian regional aircraft maker, has signed a contract with Japan Airlines (JAL) and Lufthansa for the supply of 40 airplanes, 30 EMB-190 for the German carrier, for a worth of over USD 1 bn and 10 EMB-170 for a value of USD 435 million for the JAL. The order by Lufthansa replaces a previous order by SWISS for 15 EMB-170 and 15 EMB-190 airplanes.
