HAWAIIAN AIRLINES REDUCES LOSSES
HAWAII, Hawaiian Airlines reported losses for $18,6 million last year. Net loss reached $29,3 million in 1999. Revenues rose 24.2% to $607.2 million but operating expenses climbed 17.3% to $621 million. Fuel price increased by 59% and the airline had to face charges for $22,5 due to the retirement of DC-9 fleet and related spares writedowns.
