FINMECCANICA CLOSES 2000 WITH A NET PROFIT OF 390 EURO BILLIONS

ROME, ITALY, Finmeccanica group closes 2000 with a 390 EURbn net pertinence profit compared with 70 EURbn of 1999 and a 330 EURbn consolidated profit compared with the 63 EURbn of the previous year. Finmeccanica is able to close positively its accounts without the support of StMicroelectronics. The executive of the company underlined that this fact makes the result even more "brilliant".
