Air Canada closes the low-cost Zip Air

Ottawa, Canada - Employees and short-haul routes have been already engaged by the Canadian carrier

Air Canada would have suspended its subsidiary low-cost Zip Air activity. Zip has been in fact integrated into Air Canada no more as a separated airline. The 12 B-737/200 of low-cost fleet would be already returned to the respective lessors and its short-haul routes integrated into Air Canada schedule. Most of Zip's 400 dependants have been transferred to Canadian airline.
