FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES FOR AUSTRALIAN QUANTAS

AUSTRALIA, Australian Qantas is experiencing financial difficulties due to the lower australian dollar and the intensification of competition on australian market, as Gary Dixon, chief executive of the airline, said. Price discounting by Virgin Blue and Impulse is hurting Qantas domesting profits. Moreover, the carrier had faced an increase of airport charges and a fuel price rise.
