Lufhtansa: surcharge is starting
Berlin, Germany - The high oil price forces German airline to readjust rates

On Monday, Lufthansa notified that is to inflict a temporary surcharge to its flight customers from the next 24 August, because of high fuel cost. The German carrier, in order to face the record oil prices of this days, will increase rates of EUR2 for domestic and continental links, and EUR7 will be the growth for long-haul flights, in which fuel cost proportionally counts more.
