Washington, USA - The airline parent company asks for more time to complete the restructuring initiatives

UAL, United Airlines' parent company, asked for more time, 4 months to be exact: the world's second-biggest carrier says it needs 6 months or more to complete the airline restructuring initiatives after the bankruptcy in December 2002. United Airlines would need in fact more time to wrap up talks with potential lenders, and it says that if necessary, it will consider taking on a partner.
